Child, Adolescent and Adult Therapy Treatment
Margaret de Lara is a licensed marriage and family therapist with 12 years of experience in the mental health field—working with children, families and adults—and complementary experience providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with disabilities. She brings a well-rounded, compassionate and integrated approach to address both the emotional root of the challenge, as well as helping to bring about positive behavioral changes. Margaret focuses on helping clients to work through relational challenges, obstacles and life-changes to work towards their goals and improve mental wellness.
Margaret uses a dual approach to therapy–addressing current symptoms and/or concerns by helping the client to create emotional and behavioral changes–while still leaving space to process and work through past experiences that have shaped the client’s world.
During our first visit, I like to gather a lot of background information as well as what brings you in to therapy at this time. We will discuss my role in your therapy journey, any previous therapy experiences, your expectations for treatment and goals you would like to work towards.
